On Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 4:53pm, an earthquake measuring 7 on the Richter scale hit 16 miles from Port-au-Prince, the capitol of Haiti.  As a result, an estimated 50,000 – 100,000 people were killed, national landmarks destroyed, and many families left in devastation.

The Funkbrella Dance Company, City Dance Studios, and talented choreographers from all over California (representing companies such as Kaba Modern Legacy, EDSF, The Lost Kids, and The Company, as well as the Funkbrella itself) are coming together to help raise money to help the families and victims of the Haiti natural disaster.

On Saturday February 13th, 2010 (Valentine’s Day weekend), come support this hip-hop dance workshop presented by Funkbrella and City Dance entitled “LOVE FOR HAITI”.  All choreographers are donating their time and energy for the cause.
