Hiring new Executive Director!

As you may have heard, our current Executive Director, Gina Mariko Rosales, is stepping down this year.  (If you didn’t hear, please click here to catch up.)  As a result, we are opening up the position of Executive Director (ED) and are accepting applications from those interested in applying.

Below you will find a general description of the duties that the ED has been doing, BUT, please keep in mind that the ED co-manages the entire organization and has the freedom to make changes and delegate duties as he/she feels necessary (with the support of the Executive Artistic Director and Board of Directors, of course).

Funkanometry SF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (ED)

Reports to: Board of Directors
Attends meetings: Once a week
Manages: Event Coordinator, Program Coordinator, Accountant, Company Class Coordinator, and other administrative staff

The Funkanometry SF Executive Director is responsible for managing the daily operations of the company, along with the Executive Artistic Director.  This position requires at least a 1-year commitment, but longer commitment is preferred.

GOAL: To make meaningful changes to the organization that will help to increase Funkanometry SF’s visibility in the dance community, expand our resources/build capacity, and improve our programs.

DUTIES:
*Many of these duties can, and should, be delegated to new staff members at the ED’s discretion.

Admin (50%)

-        General calendar planning and individual program planning (including Summer Intensive and Performance Workshop)

-        The Sockhop Show Producer

-        Manage and oversee Program Coordinator, Event Coordinator, and Company Class Coordinator

-        Seek out and create strategic partnerships with other nonprofits and companies

-        Oversee apparel design

-        Co-lead yearly company orientation

Fundraising/Development (25%)

-        Grant-writing and grant research (if applicable)

-        Work with Fundraising Coordinator to organize yearly fundraising plan

Marketing/Branding (10%)

-        Manage company branding, logos, graphic design, and all marketing

-        Website Manager

-        Create strategic marketing material for all Funkanometry SF companies

Finance (10%)

-        Create yearly budgets for Funkanometry SF and individual programs

-        Make monthly deposits

-        File taxes and manage payroll

-        Oversee tracking of income and expenses through Quickbooks

-        File 990 tax return at the end of each fiscal year with Accountant

-        Hire Independent Contractors and oversee payment

-        Manage all scholarship applicants and hours worked

Other (5%)

-        Keep Company Manual up to date

-        Interview candidates for staff positions

-        Attend company activities

-        Uphold company manual rules

*Direct training will be provided by the current ED for all the duties listed.

Compensation: The ED will be paid a monthly travel/living stipend for their work.
