De La Femme Intermediate Company Class Crykit aka Miss Crix could quite possibly be one of the funkiest white girls you know. Known for her flavorful bgirl style and rockin the beats, you can always catch her wreckin shop in the cyphers! She discovered the underground SF hip hop scene in 2001, met some fly females from Sisterz of the Underground and hasn't stopped dancing since. She started as a freestyle dancer, moved on to popping, but found her heart in bgirling in 2003. Miss Crix has learned foundation from bboys in Rockforce, Renegades, Rat Pack, and Illest Villians but has always been in an all female battle crew- Extra Credit. She was one of the very few chosen to attend Red Bull Beat Riders and trained with Suga Pop, Ken Swift, Brian Green, Fayzo, Crazy Legs, and Zulu Gremlin. Extra Credit has entered battles and performed all over the country inspiring and being inspired by other bgirls in the game over the last 5 years. Crykit began performing with Soul Sector in 2007 and Supreme Soul in 2008. She is currently the only female performing with Supreme Soul. Karina Dealba has been captivated with dancing for 16 years. With no formal training, she began learning to dance to hip-hop at the age of 11. By the age of twelve, she was entering local talents shows and choreographing for fun. Feeling she was ready to try new forms of dance expressions, she began to learn house from local dancers in the Bay Area. She found a new passion in house music because of how free and creative the dance was, as well as the ability to fuse house and hip-hop together. She also drew inspiration from Fred Astaire and Gregory Hines and incorporated their style and expression into her moves. 15 years later, Karina has had the opportunity to travel to Europe and Asia and experience all forms of dance as well as develop a better understanding of all forms of house dancing . She had the opportunity to be a part of the San Francisco Dance Fest 2005, Soulciety Empower show 2009 and The Onstage show 2009. She has taught dance privately for Souciety in Hayward, CA and has entered numerous competitions locally and nationwide. Karina hopes to continue her journey as a dancer and teach the art form that captivated her and changed her views of dancing forever. Cost: $12 Location: |
