Funkanometry SF Dance Company is an elite company of dancers renowned for their cutting-edge choreography, stylistic versatility, and professionalism. It was established in 2002 and has been serving the Bay Area dance community, and beyond, ever since. Through performances, company classes, workshops, and youth mentorship, Funkanometry SF is a dynamically different dance company whose eccentric style of choreography has been recognized worldwide. Funkanometry SF dancers are either hand selected from a competitive audition process, or come directly from one of our umbrella companies. Company dancers act as leaders and mentors to our other four umbrella companies and teach at our after-school programs.
Project EM

Project EM is a sexy, stylized, all-male dance collective whose main focus is to entertain audiences with their highly energized performances. Established in early 2007 by Emerson Aquino, Project EM is a diverse group of males bonded together by their passion for dance. The group serves as an outlet to create strong bonds between male dancers and also to inspire other dancers by showcasing innovative styles of choreography.
The ladies of De La Femme represent the fierce, feminine side of the Funkbrella. The company members of this all-female company are trained to emanate both sexiness and strength through their charismatic dance performances. De La Femme girls also participate in a weekly Company Class, which is an opportunity to reach out to other female dancers and train with up-and-coming female choreographers.
Funksters

Funksters is a year-round training program where young dancers from all over the Bay Area come together to share their passion for hip-hop dance. Composed of middle school and high school age youth, this is a training company that focuses on youth empowerment, affirmation, and education through dance. Funksters also holds an annual Summer Intensive program from July – August.
Bionic (Supreme Soul)

Jonathan “Bionic” Bayani, with proficiencies in funk-styles (popping / boogaloo / locking) and rocking, is best described as one of the strongest and most versatile dancers in the hip hop dance scene. After winning the world championships, Battle of the Year 1998 in Germany – along with his former bboy crew, Rockforce – Bionic gained international acclaim and is now recognized as one of the world’s fiercest competitors in popping. This has allowed him to compete and perform all over the US, France, England, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and Martinique.
Bionic is featured in numerous bboy videos that are distributed worldwide which have influenced generations of younger dancers. His experience has enabled him to work on theatrical shows, motion pictures, and modeling. He has also taught master classes all over the world. Bionic has currently worked with California based crews like Soul Sector and Machine Gone Funk. He was recently one of the few dancers selected by Red Bull to be a part of their Red Bull Beat Rider Program. Most recently Bionic Battled in the Sony Ericson UK World Championships and placed 2nd in the finals where 16 of the best poppers around the world competed. Other recent work was doing a web commercial for the Sony Playstation 3 and also a commercial for Capitol One. His biggest achievement to date was representing with his new group Supreme Soul on MTV’s: Americas Best Dance Crew. Bionic is constantly working to improve his skills and learn more about the history of his art form. His focus is to continue traveling the world and to motivate other dancers in order to elevate the hip hop dance scene.
BreakEFX (Colorado)

Established in 2006, BreakEFX was created to offer a breath of fresh air to the urban dance entertainment industry. Under the direction of Eppie Deleon, and artistic vision of Christopher Martin, BreakEFX crew is comprised of dancers ranging in age from late-teen to early 30’s. Encircling an ethnically diverse and multi-talented array of dancers, teachers, performers and choreographers, BreakEFX is a passionate organization with tenacious drive. Setting themselves apart from similar dance crews, their mix of – cutting edge bboy skill, unique choreography, comedic relief, & acrobatic diversity – has made BreakEFX, simply Colorado’s Best Dance Crew. BreakEFX won the 2008 “Colorado’s Best Dance Crew” title and the Verve Collizions title in both 2008 & 2009. They were featured performers for Summer Jam 2008, sponsored by 95.7 featuring Boys II Men and have been guests of the Denver Hip Hop Festival 2008 & 2009. Recently, BreakEFX Crew was a proud West Coast regional finalist for the 5th Season of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. In attempts to pursue their passion for performance and appreciation for the art of dance, a batch of garage dancers established their very own hip hop dance team in the year of 2002 which came to be known as CHOREO COOKIES. Starting with just a handful of high school friends originating from the city of Oceanside in North County San Diego, Choreo Cookies has extended their arms to 34 members reaching all locations across San Diego County. Under the direction of Emmett Agapay and Jeff Morales, this team carries forward a positive, enjoyable, and entertaining atmosphere to share and captivate their audiences.

Established in 2004 by co-founders Brian “Big-B” Amigable, Kirk Arradaza, Tommy Pham, David “Q-boi” Quach, and Jeff Calimbas- Common Ground is based at the University of California, Irvine. CG is comprised of both UCI and non-UCI students, bringing together a unique diverse group of dancers from all over Southern California. Our team strives to show how much passion and love we have for dance and the hip hop community. At the same time, we maintain a family environment by hanging out together, caring for each other, and sharing the desire to dance. We all may come from different backgrounds, lifestyles, precedence, or means but one thing is for sure… dancing is our COMMON GROUND.
FR3SH Dance Company (New Jersey)

The FR3SH Dance Troupe, LLC is one of the most renowned and influential hip-hop dance companies on the East Coast. Evolving from the simple vision of its Founder and Executive Director, Adrian Causing, they have developed three highly successful dance companies, all in which cater to the East Coast dance community’s needs: the founding exhibition group, FR3SH Dance Company, the FR3SH Juniors, a competitive youth team, and the FR3SH Freestyle Crew a competitive freestyle team. In order to keep the groups united, the FR3SH Dance Troupe, LLC was established to oversee the artistic, administrative, and business aspects of the existing groups, as well as any additional groups that may develop in the future. In addition, the FR3SH Dance Troupe, LLC oversees that the mission statement and company vision are upheld, and the foundations of the company (Formal Training, Frequent Performance, and Family), are being provided to each dancer.
