The Sockhop

Sockhop 2010 is coming to the Regency Grand Ballroom in San Francisco on June 19, 2010.

The Sockhop Mission:
The Sockhop Dance Showcase is an interactive event bringing together the Funkbrella dance companies to showcase the evolution of their choreography and dance style. This annual event intends to bring together not only members of the Funkanometry SF family, but also many other talented dancers and artists from around the nation.  It is also the main fundraiser to benefit the Funkbrella Dance Company and its numerous community programs.

The Sockhop Weekend Mission:
The Sockhop is one way that Funkanometry SF reaches out to the community in order to create strong and meaningful relationships between individual dancers and the arts community as a whole. By creating an entire weekend of events that gives dancers the opportunity to bond on a personal level, The Sockhop becomes more than just a show – it’s a 3-day dance convention.
